Pine Wood Derby Races -Take Two

The Pinewood Derby Races were a LOT of fun. My highlight of the evening was getting to play with Rach's new SLR camera. :D I took about the first dozen of these (except for the ones with me in them). Rachel took the rest.

Seth and his 2nd place winning car before the race. :D

(That piece of ribbon isn't actually in his mouth. :P)

The impressive track that told the score down to the 1/1000th of a second- we actually had 3 or 4 ties that evening!

"I LIKE CHEETOS"
Apparently so does she. :P

Moi and my 'mazing car. :D Can you tell what it is?

I just can't keep a straight face around Emma and Rach!

He likes Cheetos.

I actually got two awards in addition to placing awards- "The Most Humorous" and "The Best Paint Job"
Smiling for the cameras are what I do best...

... thanks for the copy, Micheal. :D

Andrea placed too!
And Jack!
And me!

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! ;)

Thanks, Mrs. T, for organizing it, and Daddy and PapPap for helping us with our cars! We had a lot of fun. :D

Josiah's Newborn Pictures

Mr. Clarke and Jack came over to help with some fix-its Saturday morning and Rachel came with them to take newborn pictures of wittle Baby. This first one is the only edited picture in all of these.

Once again, these are in the reverse order she shot them in... one of these days I'll get around to doing the right order in my blog posts.

"What are you doing to me?"

"Well then I'll make faces for you"

Our set up in the bathroom. :D

We took over our only bathroom. :D

Elsie thought we were crazy. :D

"What's that ya say? Speak up, son, I can't hear ya!"

What an absolute joy.

Twinkle toes
...and a cute button nose. Thank you SO much Rachel for doing these- we'll treasure them always!

Pine Wood Derby Races

We're working on getting pictures from Rachel from the races, but in the mean time here are some that we have on our camera. Seth won SECOND place out of all thirty some cars there, and there were some FAST cars. :-) It was so funny to see Seth racing against all the big kids, he loved it! His car is the yellow one, very top, middle.

"OMGOODNESS! Did you see that car?!?!?!" Elsie and her new friend Grace, or should I say Grace and her new friend Elsie. Grace wanted to be friends more than Elsie, :-) Grace is SO adorable!
The intent champ. He did SO well! He knew when he was supposed to go up and put his car on the track better than I did! :-P His car was made to look like Speed-Racer's, though he ended up painting it blue and yellow, and putting a round trunk on it. He's quite creative!

More pictures hopefully soon.

Josiah's First Days

These pictures are in reverse chronological order.
Seth and Elsie are SO cute with him. They ask 146,980 times a day if they can hold him.

He's simply beautiful.

These are from when he first came home. Children under 12 weren't allowed as visitors, so the younger three didn't get to see him until he came home Monday at noon.

Willa holds him the most.

And Elsie kisses him the most.

Checkin' out the new brother.

She also says 2,222 times a day, "He's TO(e) COOTE!"

He's going to be a great big brother.

Welcoming Josiah (and Mommy) home.

And yes, Mommy is doing *great.* She is so glad to have the 31 hours of labor and uncomfortable last weeks of pregnancy over.

We made a welcome home sign for him.

The rest of these are in the hospital.

Yes, blog readers, that is a self portrait of Olivia and Josiah

Mema blessed us so much. She came up to help out.

Proud parents

Just after he was born.
Thanks to all those at church who sent meals! They are a huge blessing!
