Our Thrifty Thursday-- Well, Saturday.

Today we did very well in our cheap stuff search. Mommy and I went up to The Highlands for a little birthday treat. We had a coupon for a free 12 oz. drink from Starbucks, and I got a free ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery because it was my birthday. (BTW-- the Love It size is GIGANTIC!) Once I couldn't eat any more ice cream, we headed over to Bed, Bath and Beyond, but we didn't buy anything, so we saved money there. After all, a penny saved is a penny earned, right? Next came Michael's. We saved about $10 dollars on a package of 4 sets of knitting needles and a skein of yarn (finding the right kind was it's own adventure) because we had two 40% off coupons. Then our last stop was Fashion Bug, where we bought a sweater that is normally $40 but we got it for $18. How? It was 30% off and we also had a $10 off coupon. A good deal in my opinion. :)

After dinner everybody headed out to the St. Clairsville mall. We didn't save much money on the first 3 stores we went to (Aldi, Sam's Club, and Pet Supplies Plus). Daddy and Seth hung out in Ollie's while us girls went over to Jo-Ann's to buy fabric for the 2 detailed costumes Emma and I have to make before Thursday. Emma's fabric was a steal-- half off of crushed velvet. Mine, however, was a wee bit more expensive, coming in around $50. But, we had a 40% off one item coupon. :)

All this to say, "Thank You God for blessing our purchases today!"

Speaking of ice-cream... once I got a Gotta-Have-It, in a cone, and man was it good! I'm glad to still be alive after eating it to say that it was the most delightful cone ever!

Well, we can't wait to see y'all on Saturday!

Much Love,
Ruby
