Gatorland!

On Tuesday between Magic Kingdom on Monday and Epcot on Wednesday, we visited Gatorland, a park Daddy had visited when he was young.

Some people enjoyed it more than others...

There was also a petting zoo there with goats and cows and things. But of course there were lots of ALLIGATORS.

yeah, I know there's a bar in the way, but just imagine having your jaw on a gator like that...

Speaking of Gators and jaws, we had some alligator for lunch while we were there. Even vegetarian Emma ate it. And no, it doesn't taste like chicken. :-P

We enjoyed our time there!

Freebies on Behemoth.com

FYI- Two freebies listed here, both albums of which I have listened to and can recommend highly. To get them, (in keeping with the spirit of the promotion), be sure to visit the sponsoring website and poke around. These are much more than the usual freebie of the day- these are entire albums. The second one I paid full price for a couple of years ago. Note these are downloadable MP3s.

#2 http://www.moneysavingmom.com/money_saving_mom/2009/02/behemothcom-free-100-download-for-my-readers.html

More details:
#1 Free “Jonathan Park” adventure stories. Our family has enjoyed these creationist-oriented, science adventure stories. You can download the entire album for free. If you haven't experienced Jonathan Park yet, you're in for a treat. Jonathan Park is an exciting, dramatic old-timey radio program in which a boy encounters one adventure after another, always learning new things about creation science. Everyone will learn something new, and even adults enjoy the stories and learn plenty of new proofs against evolution. Each Jonathan Park album contains 4 CDs and retails for $25. The complete album as a download at Behemoth.com usually costs $17.95, but this week only you can get it for free with the coupon code.

#2 Free “The Best of the Entrepreneurial Bootcamp: Twenty Messages Explaining a Real-World Vision for Biblically-Principled Entrepreneurship and Families Working Together.” I recommend this series for anyone wanting to explore how to get started with a financial multi-generational vision for your employment and children’s financial future. Good for self-employed people or those wanting to consider means for merging family and career into a meaningful whole. One of the workshop talks may be valuable for anyone with teens, especially boys: How to get a college degree with no debt and in less than four years. Other talks also discuss alternative options if you don’t buy into the model for the college credentialing process. Includes pitfalls for getting starting with a new business.

Ordination

Sunday Evening we headed back to church for dinner and an ordination service. Daddy was ordained as an elder.
Praying.

Our church's leadership.

Prayers for our family (not only Daddy's new responsibility) but for our health would be appreciated. Poor little Elsie has thrown up nearly every hour since Sunday night, and Seth still doesn't feel well. Emma and Willa seem fine, just every once in a while they'll feel sickish. Mommy's not feeling great, and Daddy's got a microplasm in his chest which leaves him exhausted. (sorta like pneumonia). I had my sick day yesterday and am doing well today. Did I cover everybody? :-D

Magic Kingdom

Monday we rose early (6:30) and got to Magic Kingdom before it opened. Surviving the Park Tip #1.

After getting tickets...

and taking the ferry, we walked down Main Street. Twas crowded at first...

Grand Dude and Grand Jean watched the littles while the older five went on Thunder Mountain.
We waltzed through the line in under 5 minutes, and loved it so much, we considered riding a second time.

Only Daddy is brave enough to break out the camera while on a coaster. He even got a video of Willa screaming the entire ride...

eek...

The first real line we encountered...

What's with Brother? :-D

On the Jungle Cruise. We discovered Seth hates boats.

But loves the Aladdin and Dumbo rides. He talked about them the rest of the day!

Apparently this is a good picture of me...

Waiting in line for the Pirates of the Carribean ride.

Inside that coffee filter looking building is the most awesome ride... Space Mountain! 3 of us rode it a second time.

The master bedroom in the Swiss Family Robinson's house... if you come stay in our guest room we have the same quilt adorning the bed. :-D

Cheese!

The Buzz Lightyear ride was a blast (literally) too!

Seth was so excited to meet Buzz!

Waiting in line. Again.

Speedway!

Grand Dude said I look like I 1) found a bug in my banana or 2) surprized myself by taking a picture. :-D

:-D

Mid Day Ice Cream treat.

"I have what on my face?!"

The Howard Children in Minnie's House.

Waiting in line for "It's a small world afterall... It's a small world afterall... etc..."

Elsie liked it, but it freaked Brother out a bit.

We stayed at the park the entire 14 hours it was open.

We were all very tuckered out. :-D

We arrived home safely last night at about 3:30 am... we had planned to only drive halfway and stop for the night, but Wednesday evening Elsie went to bed with a fever and Thursday morning Seth woke up throwing up... :-P
The trip home was mostly uneventful- Brother only got sick 2 more times while we were driving and he slept pretty much the entire 17 hour homeward journey. Elsie seems to have warded off whatever Seth has. He's doing a much better today. Most of us are still in our PJ's at 1 this afternoon, but hope to be up and functioning soon. Our car did great the entire trip, despite the gas gauge being broken, so thanks for your prayers to that end.

Maybe more to come soon!
