Awww!!!!

I love you, big brother. Elsie reached her hand out towards Seth first, and he graciously accepted. :)

AWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! How cute! They rode like this for a good 3 or 4 minutes, maybe longer! It was sooooo cute! And it wasn't like Elsie just layed her hand in Seth's direction, she strained to reach him! :) So cute!

Goofing Off In The Yard

Notice the hose and pool pump in the background...:)

Rachel C. came over after our Daughters of Dignity meeting and stayed until she, Emma, and Willa went to Folk Dancing class. We didn't have a lot of time and had some wee ones to care for, so hanging about the yard and eating minestrone was about all we did. :) We did a good job of it too!
:) :)

Fort Steuben #3

Punishment! :)Our group before being completely settled. The camera ran out of battery. :(

It was a looooong day.

Elsie slept almost the entire day, and then when we got in the car, she started talking, and talking, and talking! Completely happy and content, just talking. :) Seth was too zonked to wake up though. :)

Fort Steuben #2

There was a very nice model of the fort inside the main building.
Our tour guide is a veteran homeschooler, which was appropriate. :)
hummm... can anyone explain the crooked candles?
I loved the old bottles and things.
These guys were kind of frightening when you first walked in. What was even more frightening is when our guide explained the technology of the day. :)

Fort Steuben #1

After the Animation Factory, we drove a few blocks to Fort Steuben. Our picnic spot.
A very photogenic Sister in Christ.

Time for some Rachel and Emma pictures!

A very sunny spot.
Daddy really liked this picture. He said the "composition is nice."

The Creegan Animation Factory

Friday, our family along with some other homeschooling families, took a group tour of the Creegan Animation Factory. Creegan has been around for 48 years and has done animatronic figures for places such as Disney World, Sea World and others. They also make masks and costumes for parades and the like. We even got to try some on... :) :) :) Mommy was the only one of our family to try it on. Elsie didn't mind. :)
True artists know where everything is. :)
Emma and Einstein. :)
Our group was the last to see this Christmas display-- they were going to take it down as soon as we left. Seth sat in the carrier the entire tour! I'm certainly glad, because pretty much everything was breakable. We had a very nice time. :)

Davy Cuteness

Daddy has a few things to add.

Sing these words to this tune:

Born in Wheeling West Virginee-ee
The greenest state in the land of the free
Only as tall as my left leg's knee
Wakes up ever' night right around three-ee
Elsie, Elsie Loohoo, queen of the Howard frontier

Slobbers single-handed through many an hour
Sleepin' wakin', sleepin', wakin' up at four
And while she was lickin' this messy chore
She wet and poopied a diaper forever more
Elsie, Elsie Loohoo, queen of the Howard frontier

Hair Stylists

You can see a little bit of our room in the background, but you know, it's really hard to keep it clean when you don't have anything in the right place. :) Believe it or not, Elsie sat there the entire time perfectly contented. Seth was very happy because he got to take some pictures of Elsie.

Room Remodel Part 1

Emma, Willa, and I are redoing our bedroom. The two major steps we've done so far are 1) Rearrange our room and 2) paint the bright red bunk bed white. I started at about 4:00 on Wednesday, and, as you can see, was up until dark still painting.
We used spray paint. The one major draw back (besides the toxins) was the sore finger. Mommy found this nifty little dohicky that attatches to the top of the can so that instead of using one finger to push down, you use two fingers to pull a trigger. She paid $2 for it, but I think it is worth $10, easily.
I had lots o'fun! We have yet to move the bed back inside. We're waiting for it to air out further.
More to follow!

Road Work

We woke up one morning this week to the sound of a jack hammer-- tearing up our street.
There had been a pipe burst in front of the house to our right.
Willa enjoyed watching them. But, come to think of it...
We all did! Seth enjoyed watching the bulldozer.
I changed this picture a little bit so you can see the water spurting out of the hole better. It was very interesting to watch! Oh, and that hole was up to a man's shoulder when he stood inside!
Waiting for pavement. They came today to pave it, but the orange cones and blue signs are still there. We enjoyed watching them!

A Sad, Sad Day

Sniff Sniff. This pair of shoes had been around since I (Olivia) was Seth's age. Now-- we'll never see them again! boo hoo hoo... sniff. Daddy finally gave up using Duck Tape and monkey glue. We girls wanted him to bronze them and display the cherished relic in a glass case in our living room for all to see. But alas!- Mother and Daddy overruled and they went in the trash.

"Well, I Might As Well Make Myself Comfortable..."

"Um... Excuse me, Seth."

Snip Snip!

From this...
... to this. Notice any difference? Mother got her hair cut too but I couldn't find any good pictures to portray it. I've been testing you all to see if you were good enough to spot the difference... but I guess you weren't really looking for anything unusual in the pictures.

Power Washing...

...but the more you do it, the dirtier you get! This was part of the process for the secret project.

Look like fun? It is!

See what I mean by dirty?
