Miles 4 Myanmar Race

We Heritagers kicked off our Saturday morning with a brisk 4k today. It was the Miles 4 Myanmar program. We trotted out at 9;00 a.m. in our matching purple and gray oober-smooth Lion T-shirts and showed our charity with some friendly competition and lots of thunder. It had rained a bit beforehand, but thanks to Providence it was only gray clouds by the time we started.
The race went from our tractor (pictured below) to the Stop sign at the end of our road and back. Little did some of our young ones know that we were stopping there and not going all the way to the Little White Church per usual, which added a bit of dicey excitement into the whole mix at the end when they didn't show up with the last stragglers. No, worries, however. They were quickly found thanks to an ATV and willing 12 year old boys and myself (Willa, heh).

The "Friendly Competition."

Nashville Breakout Room

Groupon is the best. Yesterday we got to go to the Nashville Breakout Room. We took a contingent of friends and half went to the Musuem Heist and the other half to Kidnapping. Our family did the Musuem Heist. We finished with 54 seconds to spare. :D 59:06.

We'll Miss These Times

(From Olivia's Facebook)
These night times in the Howard girls' suite are pretty great. We step over each other doing exercises on the floor. We brush our teeth and continue to carry on full conversations. We laugh until I cry. Willa makes a comment about how awesome she is. Emma gives us each neck rubs. Elsia talks non-stop. I drop my phone on my face. Someone complains about how many clothes need put away. We commiserate about our ailments and celebrate the day's victories.
E+W watch a YouTube video or two while I remind them to laugh quieter because Momma and Daddy are trying to sleep. I ask them if I should just go to sleep or go get a snack and they always recommend the latter and then make fun of me when it's something weird. Willa surprises us with some new quirky awesome thing she's creating. We admire her star projector and comment (again) on how much we love our twinkle lights and how much we need a mini fridge up here.
We discuss life, love, and happiness. We giggle with no shame and sigh with relaxation and peace. Sharing a room with your sisters really IS like a slumber party every night with your best friends. It's the bestest. ❤❤

Cinderella Party

Friday night the Lovett Maiden's hosted a Cinderella Party. All the young ladies dressed up in their fanciest ball gowns and ate popcorn and took regal princess pictures and watched the new Cinderella live action movie. Gabrielle and Willa had a running commentary of snark going on it the back the entire night, cried at the inappropriate times, laughed at all times, and were called very ungracious names by the other audience members, such as "The Peanut Gallery".

And, no, Mr. Lovett did not watch it.

^^Waiting for a dance partner be like--

Willa's regal face. (She was called the Evil Stepmother the whole evening.)

The 17 yo club.

Can anyone say really bad family picture??

Best friends forever.

It was a lovely evening, and it ended on the conclusion that we need to throw a masquerade ball just to dress up again.

Dismantling Pianos

With Claire and Paul moving into the "Little House on the Dairy", they had a piano they were looking to get rid of. It's been a long-time dream of mine (Willa, speaking) to put a piano out in the woods and let it deteriorate a little, maybe make a music video, so I seized the opportunity.
But this particular piano is extremely heavy, so I had to dismantle the harp part (which is what most of a piano's weight is). I went over yesterday and began the process. And I took some pretty artsy fartsy photos. :D

More to come when the project is finished!
