The following has nothing to do with the preceding...
- We got a few inches of snow today after the freezing rain cleared up. Emma, Daddy, Seth and I headed to Jo-Ann's between the precipitation. Right there in the middle of the parking lot were a flock of SEA GULLS!! We don't live within 100 miles of an ocean. Guess they got a little off-track.
- (BH Comment: And I ran. I ran so far away.)
- Tonight as Emma was walking out the door to go feed her bunny that lives in the garage, she asked me to open the garage door with the little remote. I tried to do so, but the door only went up 3 or 4 inches-- about the depth of the snow in front. So I pushed the button again, and it went down. Again, I pushed the button hoping to have better luck getting it higher. It did get higher, but only by about an inch. By raising and lowering, I had finally gotten to about 8 inches off the ground. Emma in the mean time has been standing out in front of the garage door without a coat in the snow and is motioning to me. At 8 inches she drops down in the snow and just crawls under the door. (Our garage is not clean at all, especially the floor) She thought the whole ordeal very amusing. I don't know how, considering she was the one freezing. But then, she's read James 1:2, "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials."
- We lose an hour's sleep tonight.
- We have a new video camera.
- Daddy just had static electricity zap him inside both ears.
- Grand Dude, this is for you. We were sitting there asking Seth if he could say certain words like "Osawattapottawattamee" (Daddy said that I was going to marry somebody with that last name. At least that one's better than Emma's "Wackjackmackalack." Poor Willa got "Jones.") and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." Daddy then asked him if he could say Hippopotamus, to which he replied, "No, I can't say hippopotamus."
