I had a blessed mommy moment yesterday. As I was standing in the kitchen tidying up from dinner, I could see Bruce out in the driveway giving Olivia her first driving lesson. She didn't actually drive anywhere, so maybe we should call it a pre-driving lesson. I turned around and looked toward the front door. There I saw Elsie taking some unsteady, but brave steps from the door to the endstand. It seems like yesterday that the one taking her first driving lesson was the one taking her first steps. It was a happy moment for me. I feel blessed that God has graced us with many children across a wide age span. We certainly experience the full range of "happy firsts", some at the same time.
