Reformation Festival '08!

On October 31st, we loaded up in the car for a trip to the Hopkins's home for their annual Reformation Festival!
I appologize for the low quality and few number of photos- we were having too much fun to stop and take pictures! :-)

Emma and I before the dancing started.

There was a dramatic presentation of the Diet of Worms.

Here are 3 of the 4 groups dancing "Strip the Willow."

Gabriel and Emma dancing "Strip the Willow."

This dance was fun for those of us with BIG skirts and those of us who like to be swung around! The perfect combo!

Three loverly ladies resting.

An artistic (or attempted) shot of me through corn.

Here's a good shot of the beautiful light decorations.

Two girls concentrating on the dancing to come.

Darlin' Ruby and I.

Daddy and me dancing!
Thank you Hopkins!

The festival looks like such a fun time! I love to see families celebrating and dancing and it's even better when there's costumes and atmosphere and a reason to celebrate. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures!

Ah, ha ha! I *had* to comment when I saw that you were dancing Strip the Willow! I love that dance! What other dances did y'all do?
I wish we had a reformation festival. :-)As it is, we have a Fall retreat. And that had dancing too, so that was lots of fun. But we didn't dress up!

Hey Olivia,
looks like you guys had fun! Our church is having a thanksgiving ball and you can dress up from any time period and I wanted to make an outfit like you wore for this. Did you make it? If so, what pattern did you use?
