Today we painted our fingernails.
She was so excited. She gracefully waved with her hands and said, "Now we're ready to go out dancing!"
When I was finished she said, "Wow, you can do everything. This is much better than paying someone 50 dollars to do it.":) Then later, "That's somethin'" :DI showed her the picture on the camera and she said, "Oh, that's the best I've looked in a while." :)
I thought the pink needed some sprucing up, so I added some flowers. She thought it was the coolest thing ever. I did flowers on two of my fingers, too. :)
When our hands were next to each other, she pointed to her own hands and said, "Bumpy" and then pointed to mine and said, "Smooth- not like mine."
I'm treasuring these days and knowing they will go by fast. All too soon I'll be the one with bumpy hands.

Very meaningful post. So beautiful. This is just the type of experience that I hoped you would have down there. That photo of you and your grandmother and the final one of you two holding hands ... man, I can feel how special that is, for both of you. What you're doing really means a lot to her. The whiteboard message is very sweet, kind, and understanding.
This type of thing is the stuff of life - a true heart to heart bond of love and respect. Just a beautiful post to share with all of us. Thanks so much for making it.
Oh Olivia,
What a beautiful post. My eyes are full of tears. You will never forget the wonderful time you have spent with Grandmother Howard. Two hands and two hearts bonding. How special.
Love you, Sweetie.
Mema :)
thanks, Livvy <3 Really Beautiful.
Olivia,
I agree with the others that this is a beautiful post honoring your grandmother. The things she said to you in response to your loving kindness to her are very dear and fun to read. I think I need to call my Grandma!

I really want to cry it's so beautiful. Every single part of it. What a wonderful gift and blessing, for both of you!
Olivia, Watching you grow in grace and knowledge is such an honor and treasure. Your beautiful hands are truly used by the Lord in His work, and for His kingdom. Your great grandmother is a dear lady, and you, my precious granddaughter are an inspiration. I love you -- DA
