Happy 19th Birthday, Olivia!

Yesterday we celebrated Olivia's 19th birthday.  It is amazing to me that she is that "old". 

Emma did a lovely job wrapping her presents and decorating.  Bruce, as is customary, made a sign.

Our Olivia is a beauty and a joy.  She is a lovely and loving daughter who blesses her family greatly.  Our greatest joy is that she walks with God and desires to serve Him.

Seth was excited to watch her open her presents and cards.  He picked her a bouquet of flowers and wrapped them in paper.

Each of the little ones made her a card.  Josiah was eager to give her the one he made.

Elsia helped distribute presents.

Emma cleverly presented her gift - a homemade coin necklace - around Lion's neck.

It is a beautiful time of year to celebrate a birthday.  

Among other things, Olivia received this hat from Forever 21.  She does hats well.

Olivia is a beautiful young lady who can easily go from this....

....to this (falling asleep on the porch during a break from power-washing the stain off our log home -a task which requires her to climb 3 levels of scaffolding.)

and back to this.....(safety harness for the scaffolding work).  She is not afraid of hard work and blesses our family greatly with her service to us.

She is a wonderful big sister who likes to have fun with her little siblings.....

and her not so little siblings.

I love you, Olivia.  Thank you for being the wonderful you that you are.  Thank you for trusting us, your fallen, sinful parents, as we do our best to raise you for God's glory.
