This Christmas we slept in probably the latest we ever have. We didn't get started with presents until around 9. Per tradition, all six kids slept in the girls room and we took our annual "stairs" picture.
We don't look sleepy, do we?
As usual, Emma got books.
What could it be?
Ah!
Elsie and Grace, her doll.
Elsie has become a great fan of Sherlock Holmes. She is picking her role models well.
Daddy got me a mystery gift...
Which made me cry:
A lot.
It was an Earwax-Candle-Making-Kit.
(Actually, it was a prank-box that said it was an Earwax Candle kit, but really it was full of junk.)
My tap shoes!
Merry Christmas from the Howards! Er, I mean... A very serious Christmas from the Howards.
This will forever and always be known as the Glockenspiel-and-Tap-Shoes Christmas.
-Willa, for the Howards
