Bath Time!

No, your eyes are not deceiving you, Willa, at age six, sat in the kitchen sink. And here's the story... Mommy and Daddy had just told us that Mommy was pregnant with who is now Seth. Emma (then age 8) and Willa wanted to help Mommy out by scrubbing the kitchen floor. So they dawned their bathing suits and went to work. Emma using a play mop and ringing it our against herself, and Willa on her knees with a rag. Mommy was upstairs in bed, and Daddy had secretly set up a wireless camera in one corner of the kitchen. He and I sat downstairs in the basement to watch (or laugh at) what they were doing, without them knowing-- to supervise, of course. :)
After a while, Daddy needed to re-adjust the camera. So he walked upstairs into the kitchen and fixed the camera with his back turned to the girls. When Daddy turned around, he witnessed the hilarious sight of Willa, very naturally, like she does it everyday, open up the cabinet door below the sink for a step, and climb into the sink! :) She proceeded to wash her knees and arms off in the sink, while I rushed upstairs to share in the laugh (I had seen the whole thing on the camera, remember) and Mommy was beckoned down by the sound of Daddy laughing uncontrollably. This story still makes us laugh-- to the point of tears.
I suppose it will be one of those things we tell our children when we're sitting around the dinner table in 20 years. :)

Notice they didn't bother doing the dishes, just the fun part of cleaning the kitchen. ;)
