Hey Everyone!
Sorry our blog has been rather depressing of late-- we're all still in GREAT spirits because we know the Lord is teaching us character traits that will prove invaluable.
I am still in the hospital. I'm REALLY hoping to go home after my last IV tomorrow night, although I may not be allowed until Saturday morning. *sigh* This bed isn't very comfortable. And I'm thoroughly convinced that patients would get better so much faster if they were given something better than a sack with ties in the back to wear. NOT FLATTERING! :-)
Maybe tomorrow I'll have pictures to share with you now that we know the hospital has wireless Internet. (wha-hoo!) I'll warn you though, they are not my best pictures.
Thanks SO much for your prayers while we've all been sick. I'd like to share with you the scripture that has comforted me while I've been sitting here.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads be beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk though the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Mother can tell you my disgust for hospital fashions. :-) And the food, well... let's say the nurses are very nice. Daddy and I are watching Iron Chef on Food Network right now... that's one perk to this-- TV at midnight with channels we haven't gotten for years.
Signing off,
Olivia
