Our Thanksgiving

Sooo.... remember I said I would catch up on posting? Well, this is a start. :D A very large start, I may add.... there are a lot of pictures in this post. :D Anyway...
What were YOU doing last Thanksgiving? WE were sitting in our empty new house on borrowed folded chairs in front of a roaring fire eating yummy, yummy food and enjoying the great company of a family we had never met- in person that is. We've known -or of- the Adams family since the Jamestown 400 treasure hunt back when Elsie was born. We followed each other's blogs for a while, and then us girls started video chatting about a year and a half ago or so. We clicked, and have become fast friends over the internet. So, when they were going to be in town the same week we were, we we so excited to meet them!

Here are pictures from our time together- although I didn't realize they were slightly out of order until I was done uploading them- taken by Laura, who loves photography.

She brought her fun photobooth type stuff and we set up in the basement.
Emma's hair is getting so long!

This is Elizabeth. And a random parrot bird thing.

Failed jump.

These two pictures are insanely cute.

Trying to make a very long person....

and a very short person. :D

Laura and Elizabeth brought this fun dance thingy... Emma and I weren't very good. :P

Late in the evening, when it was pitch black outsitde (no street lights!) we played Sardines. It was soooo much fun in an empty house!

Elsie's sense of style always amazes me. ;)

Alright, we've now arrived at the afternoon after we ate a YUMMY thanksgiving meal. We decided to take a walk, since we ourselves had only been up there once.

I spy with my little eye... a mischeivious face... or two...

The grasses are so pretty! Oh, yeah, so are the girls. :P

We have to be careful of wild animals.

Now for some pretty scenes around the house...
I took this one. :D

First box off the truck. ;)

Our photobooth set up in the basement.

Our house is so pretty inside.

Although the kitchen is a lot smaller than we're used to, we were quite comfortably able to fit the five of us girls preparing the Thanksgiving meal in under 1.5 hours. Somehow there's no picture of that in here...

Makeshift decorations. :P

Yup. Still sleeping. :D

Oh, look! Eyes!
More makeshift decorations.

Uh... yeah... a lot of random pictures of me in a row.... oops. :P
The next day, Laura and Elizabeth came back for several more hours while Mr. and Mrs. Adams did some errands. They helped unpack and burn boxes. :D

(Friday morning we had 20+ people come help unload the moving truck, so these are the boxes that we unpacked that day)

Slowly rising...

Lots of smoke....

a flame...

and it's huge!

Seth was so cute taking pictures of it.

Playing in the ashes. :D

That's all for now, folks! Adams- we had an awesome time with you! Thanks for hanging out in an empty house with us. :D
