Europe Trip Pictures: #4-- The Pompidou Center and Momarte
The following pictures are from Day #4 of the Europe trip in August. I split this day into two posts, this being the latter half of the day.
The Pompidou Center from afar.
The famous self-portrait.
This fountain was interesting. We sat around it and ate our lunch.

Going up a glass elevator in the Pompidou Center
The funicular up Momarte hill to see Saint Chapelle...
...which is the building on top of that hill. ;-)

Me (doi again) looking out over Paris.
Saint Chapelle from another angle. We walked around Momarte Hill a bit.
A rather humorous looking self-portrait. :-)
Another angle!
Grand Dude and Grand Jean.
The interesting way to plant a tree...

Yummy.
The best veggie pizza I have ever eaten, yummy olives, strange and otherwise gross olive oil to put on the bread.

Hello World Traveler,
I loved this set as much as the others but could I make a little request. Could you include some pictures of the interior of St. Chappelle or the colorful Pompidou? I think that you said you went inside Chappelle, but if not disregard this. Looking forward to Versailles... :)
Your Europe photo lover,
Ryan
I'd love to post pictures-- if I had any! No pictures allowed in either place! :-( The one of me inside the glass elevator is the only picture I have of the inside of the Pompidou Center. Terribly sorry!
Olivia,
We're a pair! Everyone laughs at me because I eat pizza crust first. :-)
How much longer 'till Holland?
Love,
Hannah
Now Olivia, this is why you need one of those little cameras that slides into your hair and takes a billion photos of everything you see!! That is a real shame that you can't capture any memories from inside those places.
You may not believe this and someone please remind me why I'm putting this online but I have eaten pizza crust first for like the last four years. I'm not just saying that to "fit in" with you. Weird but ironically true. Hey, it saves the best for last, right?
LOL. You guys are weird. :-P
I think they didn't want pictures taken inside SC because it's still a "sacred" church still in use, and they didn't want it to be "unsacredized." :-} Ryan, if you or Vance make a stylish camera for my hair that doesn't get caught in the metal and x-ray detectors outside every building, I'll wear it on any other travels I go on. Just kidding!
Willa used to eat her pizza upside down... Don't you think it defeats the *purpose* of the crust??? As something to hold onto???
