Old News Is Good News=Cat+Dog

Through miscommunication in our family, this post was never posted, and its a pretty important one....:P Pictures were all uploaded a month ago, but no commentary is to be found...

...and a random picture of Daniel delivering firewood...we've really been blessed by his service. :D

Right, so one Thursday, Mommy took all the kids over to the Lingos to pick up a cat, after another bout of mouse problems, while Daddy and I built a dog house for the possible dog that might also join us later in the day.

(see Emma's "ew there might be a mouse in this car" face and Daddy and I through the window behind her)

Even though its a very short drive to the Lingos and back, numerous pot holes from recent rains make the drive a little... more... muddy. :P

Willa at Beaverdam Creek Farm with Ivan The Terrible Cat and some cat food. :D

Letting Ivan out.
Running away.... actually, we haven't seen Ivan much except for some creepy meowing every now and then. He's moved to another building on our property since.
:P

Daddy and I built this in about 45 minutes... not bad for a doghouse the dog doesn't use. :P

Later that Thursday, everyone (but me. :P) loaded up and drove about an hour to pick up Tinkerbell, a lab/border collie mix. She's 9 months old, we think. She came with her name, but Daddy made her name officially "Tinkerbell Fangtooth". :D

The first night we let her sleep inside so she could get to know us, but the second night she knew us well enough and needed to be put outside... to bark at the neighbor's dogs all night. ;D

So, needless to say, we got a cat *and* a dog in the same day, both black. And so our real country life begins!

That is a sweet dog! Can't wait to meet her. (And the armadillo.)
