Being the faithful *cough* blogger that I am, I figured I should introduce you to the latest 16 members of the Howard Household. The 15 regular Jos are chickens. I've heard one is actually named Limpy, but that's not very nice. These chicks gave us some scares when they first arrived from Daniel one early Monday morning.
The device we have secured them in is called a Chicken Tractor. Not to be confused with the Chicken Mower or Chicken Backhoe. Its called that because it is movable so we can take advantage of the resources (aka poop) the chickens provide. The building of the Tractor, originally planned to only take an afternoon, ended up taking an entire Saturday and 2 or 3 late evenings for Daddy and I. Daddy designed it himself, and we're all really impressed with it -er, impressed as we can be- and like how it works so far. After some netting issues and a little Tinkerbell chewing through the roof, it seems like we're over the initial round of problems that come from anything (everything) new.
All 15 are still alive, although we've had them get out and into trees, chased by Tink, run over, and then run over again. Limpy Jo had the tractor dropped on her foot. One got out when we were moving the tractor too quickly in the (already mentioned) rain.
Let me also introduce you to Peter Pan, the exact opposite of Tinkerbell.
Peter Pan is a kitten from the Lingos. Willa, Seth, and Elsia can barely keep their hands off him when they're outside. When not being held, Pan (or Pete) spends his time inside the lawn mower.

What can I say. I looked at all the things you are thankful for and I can tell you are soooo happy and you are soooo blessed. And then I scroll on down and then I see Seth's big smile holding Peter Pan. What a joy filled family. Love the post. Thanks Olivia.
