So, y'all seen the news? We were hit with *counts* 47 or 48 hours of rain straight, bringing on the largest recorded flood in Hickman County history.
This picture was actually from the rain the week before, but I LOVED the contrast between the sky and the trees- this picture honestly doesn't do it justice.
And it started to rain... I think this was Friday.
The chicken tractor started getting water inside, so we girls had to move it in the POURING rain.. so much fun. :D
Our road at about 5:30 Saturday evening. It didn't stop raining for another 24 hours. :D
So, water started coming off the hill and pouring into our basement through the doors, so we had to make a dike while Daddy was still gone (more on that later), so I took a laundry basket and gathered grass clippings during the thunderstorms. :P
And I'll leave this post with a picture of Tink and her mole and mouse that she caught Saturday. :P She caught another two mice later in the weekend. I stepped on one. *commence squeals*
So, we are all high and dry, but we've heard of lots of bad things in Nashville, so be praying for those around us. Talk to y'all soon!

Did you bring Tinkerbell in out of the rain? I already talked to mom and dad several times about everything else and I saw the tragedy on TV. So sad. Mema
