It's hard to believe that this is what we did last Memorial Day. Never dreaming we'd be where we are. To quote Mommy, "If you had told me last memorial day we'd be missionaries in Timbucktoo right now I'd believe that as much as if you'd told me we'd live on 63 acres in Tennessee."
This past Lord's Day we were able to have fellowship at our house for the first time! We had been waiting for a rain-free day so we could sill onto the deck. It did rain a bit, but that was before most people got there. It got the grass wet enough for a game of slip'n'slide soccer!
Josiah is awfully cute right now. He has learned to use his voice and is always SO happy. :D
We thought our Memorial Day would be rather uneventful this year until Kaliste drove up and invited us over for a picnic and swimming!
It rained slightly while we were there, but we didn't mind!
I loved this picture. :D
The swing was the main event. :D

To get to the swimming spot, we had to go on some trails through fields and woods. We followed the Lovett's home, and, guess what they found, a stray horse. :D So we followed Caleb walking the horse back to its owner. What a completely different life we live now.
Abby and Anna got to ride back in the truck with us!
Check out Willa's face in that one!
And this is the most exciting news EVER.... we now OWN this TRUCK!!! I've wanted a truck for like, 10 years and we finally have one! I'm so happy. :D Its a 2000 gold Silverado... yes, its an oxymoron. A gold. Silver-ado. ;)
I cleaned the inside of the truck out today and I think I got dirtier vacuuming and scrubbing it than I did harvesting veggies at the Lingo's last Friday! We bought the truck from Caleb and no, its not entirely his fault it was so dirty. But, its a farm truck- its supposed to be muddy!

Appears to have been a splendid day.
Wonderful image of Josiah - just excellent.
I did not know there was a creek near your house. Many years ago we went into Wheeling creek in Elm Grove. There are a couple of waterfalls in one portion of the creek across from Elm Grove Elementary and those proved to be entertaining elements of nature for us.
Congrats on the truck. Soon it will be time for an International Harvester. ;-)
