Reformation Weekend Part 6: Lord's Day

After a joyful worship service, the little girls were dismissed to play.

 Miss Hannah
Miss Elsie. They're best of friends. Even if they can never agree that they can both be "moms" :D

 Beautiful Emma sister of mine

With visitors still in town, there were a few more people to stand around and chat with. :)

All of the musicians had to leave a little after lunch to go practice for the Psalm/Hymn sing that night, so those of us who were left had a good time.

Caleb led the little boys in a game of football.

Beautiful Laura neighbor of mine! So glad to have them here.

 Catechism Bee!

We all loaded up and headed into town for a Hymn Sing we invited the community to.

 Everyone got seated and prepared.

Mr. Draper explaining how we were going to be singing antiphonally.

 Men read Scripture between songs.

Mrs. Stouffer graced us with her piano playing.

She's really really good.

Afterwards we fellowshipped with friends and strangers who had come.

We stayed so late, in fact, that the custodian had to kick us out. :)

 Emma talked with Nadia
 Greeting acquaintences

 Sweet Caroline

The beautiful church which allowed us to use their building.

Can you tell what that is? Its a very hungry Jacob who was tired of his picture being taken.

On the way home from the Psalm sing, we realized that we had left our truck over at the Lovett's, so Mommy dropped Emma and I off there to pick it up. The Evans and Bradshaws arrived and headed inside while we were there. The Lovetts weren't home yet, so this puzzled us. We went in to see what was going on and they announced that everyone was going to be hanging out there. So.... Emma and I went home and tucked the kids in then drove back over to the Lovett's for some more fun! Willa played games, I chatted, and Emma listened to a discussion about Bible translations. We ended up staying rather late... Emma wanted to finish listening to the discussion, but people were going to bed where Willa and I were hanging out, so we went outside to watch the guys blow stuff up in a PVC pipe. It was incredibly interesting and entertaining. :D

I looked up at the stars and was astounded at their number. I breathed deep and closed my eyes, praising the Lord for His goodness and mercy. After a long weekend, I could have fallen asleep standing up. But, in the middle of another deep breath- POW pop pop pop!

Needless to say, it was a successful, God-glorifying, fellowship-full, memory-making weekend!

Hope you enjoyed all the pictures. I sure had fun taking them. :)

Why is it that every picture of Emma is good? :-) She was born for the camera.

I LOVED the pictures, Olivia! Great job! I look forward to seeing more and more of your work. :-)
