Texas Part 2: Aunt Sister's

Daddy's Aunt Sister lives exactly halfway between our house and Corpus Christi, where we were headed.
So we stopped and stayed the weekend with her.

She was such a good hostess.

She fed us chocolate chip waffles and lots and lots of other yummy food.

Being at her house gave us time to paint Elsie's nails. She just loves to have her nails done.

We watched old movies.  And laughed at the hairdos. (Makes you wonder if we'll laugh at our current hair in 50 years...)

She gave us this awesome 3D sidewalk paint.

It pops out of the pavement.

We all really enjoyed it. :)

Saturday afternoon Aunt Kitty stopped by. We hadn't seen her for over a decade.

Aunt Sister runs a beauty business. She pulled out all her fun stuff and we played and talked girl stuff late into the night.

We left early the next morning to drive to a church in Houston, 3 hours away. Seth and Elsie were smiling for a picture in this picture. :)

Emma, you're getting on my nerves now! ;-)

Nice photo of your mom.

What lens were you using to shoot the 3D glasses? The DOF appears too shallow for the 18-55 - even wide open at 55 - but the glasses are at arm's length. I am guessing you must have used your 250 for it, right?

Emma's been working on her photo face. :D

If I remember correctly, I was using my 18-55. I can't shoot things in my hand with my other lens. :D
