I'm sure the "bus" told us what this was... but I forget. :-)
Nearly every window in Paris had one of these iron things on them-- they were so much fun!
There were gold statues everywhere!
Statue of some guy on the side of the Louvre...
...Crepe stand! See the tower of Nutella behind Grand Jean? We discovered that they don't eat Peanut Butter over there-- It's all Nutella!
'Twas quite yummy.
We only ate lunch in the Louvre, then headed back out on the Bus...
Some of these guys lost their heads over the years. :-)
Souvenir shops along the other side of the street.
Inside. I have a TON more pictures of the inside of Notre Dame if anybody wants to see more. Just e-mail me.
The door.
We walked from Notre Dame to Saint Chapelle, stopping on the way in little shops.
There were also these hand washing station things. It felt good to splash cool water on my face during the hot day!
Inside Saint Chapelle. To get to the large room we had to walk up (and then down) a spiral stone staircase. I wished I had on a princess dress!
In the commoner's room. That's where they could worship and were taught by a priest.
A lot of the churches we visited had random pieces of their architecture sitting in piles. ??
Random dude on the side of a bridge... :-)
Oh, now I thought this was interesting. It appeared that the scaffolding was being supported from the top.
Yep. And Notre Dam in the background, too.
I think that this is the Musee' D' Orsay, but I'm not positive.
The tower from the canal boat.
That building I couldn't name again.
Cannon in front of another name-less (or name-forgotten) building.
A statue of either Robert Louis Stevenson or Winston Churchhill... :-) It was at the same place as "The Thinker"
Ooops, this goes up^ with the Notre Dame pics...
The 80's addition to the Louvre.
She's kind of hard to see, but there was a model in a really pretty dress modeling for cameras in front of the Louvre.
Sorry, I don't know what this arc is called. It's in the courtyard of the Louvre.
There were bike lanes everywhere.
My purchases from the day. They wrapped everything so nicely.
My really yummy chicken and cheese panini we grabbed for dinner on our way back from the Tower. LOVED IT!
I hope you enjoyed these thousands of pictures! I know it's been a long time coming. Sorry, and feel free to ask questions, or answer mine! :-)

Fun, fun! I'm pretty sure that that statue was of Winston Churchill, though...because Stevenson was really tall and skinny. :-)And why on earth was there a statue of Thomas Jefferson in Paris?
Hannah
:) Olivia you look so beautiful in all those pictures! And Hannah, read John Adams by David McCullough if you want to know why there would be a statue of Thomas Jefferson in Paris! :)
Thanks for posting, Olivia!
Love,
