Oglebayfest!

On Saturday our family headed up to Oglebay for the annual fall festival they have there.

Elsie was adorable. The weather was perfect. And only 2 of us had the chicken pox.

Can you guess what she was yelling here?

She LOVED the kettle corn! (and it's a good thing-- Daddy stood in line for a very long time to get that!)

Us children on an 8 foot wall...

Our family on a hill...

This picture took absolutly forever to get. Us girls sat there nicely, Elsie even smiling. Seth however would not sit still for the world. In this one he was sliding into third base down the hill, getting his pants muddy. That's why he's smiling. :-)

Our family on the bus! Yes, we ALL fit on two seats of a school bus! :-)
So, the health update on our family is such:
Olivia might have the chicken pox.
Emma HAS the chicken pox. The poor girl has 500 on her face alone. Pray for her back, though, because she's been in tears with lower back pain today, the cause of which is unknown at present.
Willa is healing from the chicken pox. Her face (seen in a previous picture) is healing nicely.
Seth HAS the chicken pox.
Elsie HAS the chicken pox, too.
Pray for strength for Mommy and Daddy.
Thanks.

You poor dears!

The nice thing is that Chicken Pox is usually a one-time deal. We had it right when Marshall was born, and I wasn't able to hold him for two weeks.

Love you guys!

Get it over with now!! Chicken pox is much easier on the young. I didn't get until I was 21. I got it from Donna and it put me bed for two very sick weeks. And, I still have two small scars from it. I wish I had played with the kids who had it when I was young and had gotten it over with.
Get well soon all. Try a diluted mixture of tea tree oil and water in a small area and see if that helps. It will most likely stop the itching and promote healing. Just a thought. Love you all and thanks for the updates.
