The last Friday in June we were all sitting on the porch trying to think of a good theme for Willa's upcoming birthday party. "Pirate?" "Have done it twice." "Tea Party?" "Three times." "Greek?" "Once already and that was a bit strange." "Princess?" "Daaaaddy it's my 11th!" "French?" piped up Ruby. "Oooooo" was the chorus. "We'd need an Eiffel Tower!"
And sure enough.

A 16 ft tall Eiffel Tower was constructed out of cardboard. We love our Daddy.

Willa had a dozen+ friends come to her birthday party! They traveled from far (Pittsburg and Cleveland) and near (down and across the street)!

Rach (our photographer) seems to always catch us at the odd times. I didn't even see this picture until I was looking for some to post! :P

For games we had "pin the wine glass in Marie Antoinette's hand" and a magnificent french history/Le Mis/ Hunchback of Notre Dame/ French artists mystery hunt!
And, uhhh... a pinata. Not really French but it had candy.
And Willa made her own ice cream cake!
After the party we had Andrea, Tirzah, and Rachel stay the night (along with Ruby who was still here.) We had a little game of hide-and-seek in which the seeker didn't know they should be seeking... so Rach and I had some time to goof off...

Attractive, ain't it?

This too.
And now a couple random pictures from other events that are too insignificant to have their own post but are significant enough to be mentioned.

Ruby managed to have her annual organizing-of-the-tupperware party!

Daddy made French doughnuts (that had nothing to do with the party) one day and we managed to gobble them all up! Soooo good.

Jordan also came over a couple times... and one of those times we played in the rain like little kids. Even jumped (quite pathetically) into Narnia for a bit and did lots of laughing. :D
