Update in a short amount of time to give you the most information:
Daddy-- He's not doin' so great. We think he's becoming allergic to the pain medicine he's taking for his arm. So he's in bed pretty much all the time right now. Hopefully that will be fixed with a change of meds tonight...
Mommy-- She's doing better, but, like me for the last two weeks, has pretty much no energy. She's improving daily, but, like everyone says, pneumonia is a hard thing to get over and it knocks you out for a while.
Olivia-- I'm also improving daily, but have no where near the energy or endurance I used to have. I think when I lost a lot weight while I was sick most of it was leg muscle. I've had such sore legs these past few days from regaining that muscle. But breathing wise I don't get out of breath even running! (I would get out of breath when I was sick just walking from one room to another!)
Emma-- Still our workhorse but has had a few minor injuries that lay her up for the day. The most resent was a hurt ankle, but she's all better and doing great!
Willa-- She has lots of energy and is a great help! She got to go swimming for the first time this summer at a neighbor's grandma's pool. We dearly missed her help while she was gone!
Seth-- We had a little scare the last few days with him. He'd been really sleepy, sometimes looking fevered, and about 3 or 4 times a day would cough a pneumonia sounding cough. And he already had it, plus ear infections! He seems great now, though.
Elsie-- Cute as can be and loves avocados. That's about it for her. Oh, and she's learned to motion us to follow her-- IT IS SOOO CUTE!
The Car-- Okay, well, we didn't mention this yet, but I think it deserves mentioning now. On Friday the car power window got stuck in the down position. The car repair places didn't open until Monday. Daddy tried fixing it himself with one arm, we tried the button at every opportunity, and also taped it up during the night. Miraculously on Sunday when I reached over to try to roll it up, it went! With no rhyme or reason! Praise God! And we didn't have to take it to the shop. God's great.
Other than all this, the only things that are going on are:
~Our AC unit leaked and mildewed/ molded the basement. Not fun to clean up when everyone (who is able to do it) is sick. Or one-handed.
~ I got out, much to the fear of my family, and mowed the grass this week. It felt good to do physical labor, although I really shouldn't do it quite yet. If I don't have the energy to fix dinner I probably shouldn't waste the little energy I have on mowing our's and our neighbor's lawns. Oh well. It needs done and I'm happy to do it.
~We had a great visit with Da (Daddy's mother) this week! God knew we'd need an extra pair of hands (and another driver!) and he sent her at the right time!
~ Elsie's doing great sleeping (pretty much) through the night.
~Willa's built some amazing Lego castles the last couple of days. Seriously cool.
