Daddy asked one of the ER nurses if they had let our family doctor know about his arm. We figured she'd probably just laugh when she heard. We've certainly seen the doctor enough this month. :-)
The basic story is that Daddy was chasing Willa on the slide at the playground and he fell off and caught onto a railing with one arm. It was his left arm, which he had previously injured in a ski accident, that held all of his body weight. As a result, he dislocated his arm.
I got the joy of going up and telling Mommy that I was at the hospital with Daddy... and that Daddy was getting x-rays of his shoulder. :-) We both laughed. She's threatening to not let anyone outside and un-bunking the bunk beds. Just so we don't start a round of injuries. :-)
Thankfully I was able to be with Daddy in the ER for most of the time. I only had to leave when they did the x-rays and then while they popped his shoulder back in. It was my first trip to the ER in my memory-- my first ride in an ambulance, too!
Everyone (but Mommy, of course) is home now and we are heading off to bed. We are so thankful that Da is here and able to help. I think I'd be in the hospital by now of exhaustion if she (and Emma) weren't here! Bless the Lord! We will never know His ways. But it's amazing to know that He is in control and everything that happens in our lives is to glorify Him and to teach us more of Him. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
