...We met the Stouffers, Lovetts, and Lingos here on Our Road. Who wouldda thunk that we would now be having them along with many other families over after church tomorrow to our own home here in Centerville? That we would be close neighbors. That we know the folks of Heritage (what we would consider) really well. That we would be able to serve them and the community. That we would have already been living here for 7.5 months. That in a single year so much change could take place and not end in disaster. God has been so good to us and we don't deserve it.
I had planned to write up a big long post about the past year since today it a type of "anniversary" or something for our family, but today slipped away in cooking weird squash and cleaning every dish in the kitchen (twice) and unsticking the lawn mower and smashing bugs and dancing to music and laughing at silly children and borrowing cherry pitters from the Stouffers and just living life.
The post about our trip here last summer is entitled "The Howards Visit Hickman County".
Realize that He has a plan for you and you have no idea what you will be doing or where you will be a year from now. I'm excited about what we'll be doing this day next year, especially because I have no idea what it will be!
